SVSACS's Mission
Southeast Vancouver Seniors' Arts & Cultural Society (SVSACS) is a group of dedicated individuals working to have a seniors' centre built in southeast Vancouver. The centre would house various arts and cultural activities for seniors, serving as a meeting and gathering place for older adults of all ethnic backgrounds. There is currently no seniors' centre in all of southeast Van!
SVSACS's objectives are:
- To develop, promote and provide programs, activities, services and special events for adults of all cultures in the Southeast section of Vancouver.
- To raise and provide the necessary funding to purchase the essential equipment, supplies and/or furniture needed to provide seniors' programming, activities, special community events and services.
- To negotiate contracts and the rate of pay with the various instructors or staff needed to operate the programs, events or services for the Society.
- To set the fees and charges that are charged to patrons and users for the seniors programs, activities, special community events and services.
For more information on SVSACS policies please read the entire SVSACS Constitution & Bylaws.
